Growing up in the foothills of northern California I had plenty of opportunities explore the vast wilderness of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. After taking up photography as a hobby about 5 years ago I set out to share the beauty of the Sierras and other wild lands of the west with the world. 
Be it be the most dramatic sunrise or just the way water splashes off a rock in a stream, the simple beauty of nature is always there waiting to be discovered if only we can take the time to look. I am always looking... to capture that perfect moment and, in my own way, preserve some tiny glint of the beauty of nature so that I may share it with the world in hopes of inspiring at least one other person to go outside and have a look around.

I currently live with my fiancée in Chico, CA. Between school, work, and keeping my lovely wife to be happy I try to find time, as often as I can, to get out and enjoy all the grandeur and beauty of nature.  I enjoy camping, hiking near and far, backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and just about anything else outdoors.
Given my great love of the outdoors I continue to make efforts to, not only protect the environment, but to preserve and enhance responsible access to these wild places for future generations.  We CAN make a difference and leave this world a better place than we found it.
